Toddler Moves
Toddler Moves is a unique program specially devised for children aged 2-3 years who are accompanied by an adult, be it mum, dad, grandma, aunty etc. The class is designed to introduce little ones to the world of movement and music and a class environment whilst feeling safe alongside their caregiver. Caregivers are encouraged to participate making this a great bonding activity. Included in the program is the use of props, creative movement, music and singing. Builds on confidence, listening skills, gross motor skills and of course is lots of fun!
Pre Ballet
Pre ballet classes are designed for children aged 3 - 5 years old. The class builds on childrens natural movement and encourages a love of dance. It combines creative movement with some basic ballet concepts. Children at this age are not physically or mentally able to cope with classical ballet so we focus on other aspects of dance such as musicality, listening skills, spatial awareness, and creativity.
Tap is a fun energetic and percussive style of dance in which dancers have metal plates attached to their shoes. Great fun which improves musicality and a sense of rhythm and coordination. Students will learn historical steps as well as modern styles.
Jazz is an upbeat technical class which helps improve flexibility, strenth, coordination and stamina. Generally the class will consist of a warm up, centre exercises, corner work, and dance. Jazz is a broad style and students classes will cover everything from broadway jazz to funk.
The foundation of all dance, ballet is a system of dance based on formalised movements and positions of the arms, feet and body, designed to enable the dancer to move with the greatest possible agility, control, speed, lightness, and grace. Helps to improve posture, core strength, coordination and poise. Ballet is not compulsary however is highly recommended for any dancers education and builds a strong foundation for other dance styles.
